A family residence permit is issued in accordance with paragraphs 34 and 37 of Law No. 6458 "On Aliens and International Protection":

  a) Foreign spouses,

  b) Minor children of a foreign person or his spouse,

  c) Dependent on the children of a foreign person or his spouse,

  If a foreign applicant has more than one wife, then a family residence permit can only be issued to one spouse. However, this residence permit can be issued to all children of a foreign person. When applying for a family residence permit for children by guardians, it is necessary to present the joint consent of their mother and father. Students under the age of eighteen have the right to study at primary and secondary educational institutions without obtaining a family or student residence permit.

  Owning a family residence permit, foreigners can apply for a temporary residence permit in the following cases:

  - In case of a divorce from a Turkish citizen after living together with him, having a family residence permit for at least three years at least three years is not a requirement.)

  - In the event of the death of a guardian who is entrusted with custody of persons in our country who own a family residence permit.

  - In case of reaching the age of eighteen by persons who have been in our country for at least three years and have a family residence permit.

  Term of family residence permit:

  - A family residence permit can be issued for a period not exceeding three years.

- The validity period of the residence permit under no circumstances may exceed the duration of the guardian's residence permit.

  Requirements for obtaining a family residence permit:

  To obtain a family residence permit, you must meet the requirements specified in paragraph 35 of the law on foreigners.

  - Compliance with the requirements for guardians (trustees). (A valid health insurance covering all members of the caregiver's family, a monthly income of at least one third of the minimum wage for each family member, a document certifying the absence of any family law offenses in the last five years, residence in Turkey at least one year with the registration of the address of residence in the registration system)
  - Fulfillment of the requirements for applying for a family view, family members of the guardian, (Providing relevant information and documents to obtain the right to stay in our country, justifying the fact of living with certain persons or showing intention of residence, the achievement of spouses of eighteen years, do not fall under paragraph 7 of the mentioned law, registration of marriage, the purpose of which is not to obtain a family residence permit.)

  What are the reasons for refusal, cancellation or refusal to extend a family residence permit?

  - Failure to meet one or more of the conditions required for obtaining a family residence permit or in case of deviation from these conditions,

  - Identification of facts of misuse of family residence permit,
  - Having a deportation order or an active ban on presence in the country,
  In such cases, the family residence permit is not issued, is canceled if issued, or is not renewed after the expiration date.
