  11. - I live in Turkey, can my relative / friend / spouse etc. living abroad bring the vehicle for me to use here and leave it to me ?

  It is not possible to leave vehicles brought as part of a tourist for use by a resident of Turkey. If such a situation is revealed, a criminal case is initiated against the person concerned in accordance with Article 238 of the Customs Law No. 4458.
 

  12. - My spouse is a foreigner, can I bring the vehicle on his behalf?

  Your spouse who is a foreigner must be abroad for 185 consecutive days to bring a vehicle from abroad. In addition, in transactions carried out within the framework of the tourist,the nationality of a person is irrelevant and it is taken into account whether he is a resident abroad.

  13. - I am a foreign citizen / I have renounced my Turkish citizenship / dual citizenship can I bring a vehicle as part of a tourist?

  In transactions carried out as part of a tourist, the nationality of the person does not matter. It is enough to be a resident abroad.

  14. - I live abroad, can I enter Turkey with my company car?

  If the vehicle is owned by another person or company, you must present a valid power of attorney to Customs at the time of entry, and you must ship the vehicle overseas at the end of this period.

  15. - My company has opened a branch/agency abroad, etc. in Turkey. Can I bring vehicles for use in Turkey?

  Due to the fact that your company has opened a branch / agency in Turkey abroad, it is not possible to bring vehicles belonging to your company for permanent use in Turkey in accordance with the provisions of the General Communiqué on Land Vehicle Customs funds for personal and commercial use.

  16. - My father lives abroad, but I live in Turkey. Can I bring my father's car from abroad to Turkey?

  A person residing in Turkey cannot temporarily import a vehicle belonging to another person residing abroad.

  17. - I have a double passport. All information about my entry into Turkey is recorded in my Turkish passport. Can I bring a vehicle with a different passport?

  Such information is misleading to the customs authorities. The acts fall under the heading "Smuggling", so you will most likely be prosecuted under the provisions of the Anti-Smuggling Law No. 5607.

  18. - I want to bring my motorcycle or caravan (trailer, etc.) with my car. Is it possible?

  You can bring your own personal land vehicle with caravan, motorbike, yacht, boat, jet ski/ski etc.

  19. - I live abroad but I retired in Turkey. Can I drive my car for 1 year?

  You must retire abroad to get a 1 year period for your car. This period is not granted to those who retire in Turkey.

  20. - I was given 6 months for failing to show my pension certificate when entering Turkey. Now I have the document, can I extend the stay of the car up to 1 year, what do I need to do?

  If you have the opportunity to present your pension certificate before the expiration of the 6-month period, you can contact the nearest customs office and extend the period of stay up to 1 year.
